DHL commercial invoice template
DHL asks for the commercial invoice with the parcel, not after it. The fastest way to get one customs accepts is to fill the right fields once and print it.

DHL’s own guidance on commercial invoices is short but strict: a precise description of the goods, quantity and value, country of origin, HS code and who pays duty. Miss one field and the parcel waits in a warehouse instead of arriving.
What to put on a dhl commercial invoice
- Sender and receiver with full addresses and phone numbers
- A specific goods description — not “gift” or “sample”
- Quantity, unit value, total declared value and currency
- Country of origin and the HS code for each item
- Incoterms such as DAP or DDP, plus any freight charge

Frequently asked
- Does DHL provide a commercial invoice form?
- DHL publishes guidance and MYDHL+ produces paperwork for account holders. If you ship occasionally, filling in your own commercial invoice and printing two copies — one inside the parcel, one in the pouch — is usually faster than opening an account.
- Is this invoice template free to use?
- Yes. Open the template, adjust the lines, download the PDF. There is no account, no email gate and no per-invoice charge.
- Will my client see that I used a template?
- They will see a clean, standard invoice layout with your details, your lines and your totals. The only footer line mentions where the PDF was generated, below the invoice content.
